Criminal Record Check

Dear NVFC Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Managers and other Volunteers;

North Vancouver Football Club values the safety of its players and volunteers.  To that end, we have adopted the Criminal Record Check (CRC) as part of our Risk Management protocol. Please note that this new protocol replaces the former RMF’s (risk management forms).

The following documents are required to request a Criminal Record Check:

  1. Volunteer Instructions
  2. CRC form 3584
  3. CRC form 3923
  4. Volunteer Letter to Request a CRC

Please follow the instructions in document 1 exactly as noted.

Take completed documents 2 & 3 and document 4 to the RCMP office.

The process of submitting a CRC will only cost you a few moments of your time.

We require that the CRC submissions are completed as soon as possible, & no later than:

  • DIVISIONAL (U12-U18) & U11 STREAMED           August 20, 2011
  • MINI (U6-U11(House))                                         August 31, 2011

Please note that all information from the CRC’s is treated confidentially.

We thank you for not only respecting the CRC process, but also for being an invaluable volunteer for NVFC.  Without you, we could not provide this opportunity for our children to experience the beautiful game.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Best Regards,

On behalf of the NVFC Board of Directors

Cyndi Gerlach

Coaches Code

A Fair Play Coach believes and teaches that sport is an ethical pursuit, one which builds character and shapes attitudes.
As a coach, your fair play aims should be to:

  • help your athletes develop a positive self image
  • promote respect for the rules, officials and their decisions, and opponents
  • encourage a constructive attitude toward competition
  • develop a sense of dignity under all circumstances
  • provide an equal opportunity for all to learn skills
  • encourage these individuals to continue participation in sport.

YOU are one of the most influential people in a child’s life. Your job is not only to teach how to hit a ball or block a spike, but also to teach how to win and lose graciously. You must also remind them that sport is meant to be fun. The athletic skills these young people learn from you may only be used for a few years. The attitudes they develop toward themselves and others will last a lifetime.

Fair play coaching strives to live our Club's Core Purpose: To develop human potential through soccer.
